These terms are the agreement between you and BaseLoop Ltd for using GraspIt. Using the app means accepting them. If you do not, please do not use it.
GraspIt is provided by BaseLoop Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17228518, registered office 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean BaseLoop Ltd, and "you" means the person using GraspIt.
GraspIt sits in Android's text selection menu. Select a word in any app, choose GraspIt, and it shows you what the word means. You can keep a word as a card, tag it, and review your cards on a spaced-repetition schedule.
How this works in detail is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
You need an account to save cards, and you sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that Google account secure, and for everything done through your GraspIt account.
Accounts are for individuals. Do not share one, and do not create one on behalf of someone else without their permission. You must be at least 13 to use GraspIt.
The definitions, examples and near-words GraspIt shows you are generated by a large language model, not written by lexicographers and not checked by a person before you see them. They are usually good and sometimes wrong. Treat them as a helpful starting point rather than an authority.
Do not rely on GraspIt where being wrong would matter — legal, medical, financial or safety-critical contexts, professional translation, examinations, or anything else with real consequences. Check an authoritative source instead. We give no warranty that any definition is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first.
The words you save and the tags you write stay yours. We do not claim ownership of them.
You give us permission to store, copy and process that content only so far as we need to in order to run GraspIt for you — saving it, syncing it to your devices, scheduling it for review, and backing it up. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
The app, this website, the GraspIt name and the way it all looks belong to BaseLoop Ltd. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices, and nothing more. That licence ends if this agreement ends.
GraspIt is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may take it down for maintenance, change how features work, or withdraw features entirely.
If we make a change that significantly reduces what GraspIt does for you, we will tell you beforehand where we reasonably can. We may also change these terms; the current version always lives at this address, with the date it was last updated at the top. Continuing to use GraspIt after a change means accepting the new terms.
GraspIt is currently free. If we introduce paid features we will set out the price, the billing period and the cancellation and refund terms before you pay for anything, and we will not start charging for something you already have without telling you first.
You can stop using GraspIt at any time, and you can have your account and its contents deleted as described in the privacy policy.
We may end this agreement, or suspend your access, if you materially break these terms, or if we stop offering GraspIt. If we stop offering it we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get your cards out.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you started using GraspIt, for business losses such as lost profits, revenue, or business opportunity, or for loss caused by relying on a definition GraspIt produced.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take reasonable care but do not guarantee against data loss.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law where you live.
